Driving change on the global stage
The automotive industry is undergoing rapid transformation with electrification at its core. The race is well underway, and General Motors (GM) is leading the charge with its bold vision for a world with zero crashes, zero emissions and zero congestion.
Sharing progress towards zero
The challenge
GM approached Flag to develop a world-class reporting suite, sharing progress towards its bold vision and commitment to becoming carbon neutral in its global products and operations by 2040.
Setting the wheels in motion
The process
Fuelled by insights from a detailed benchmarking and gap analysis, we helped GM to enhance its disclosures against best practice reporting frameworks and regulatory requirements such as GRI, SASB, UNGC, SDGs and TCFD disclosures. We provided 360-degree support, from content planning, interviews, copywriting and design through to production, and helped transition GM’s reporting to the Workiva environment to streamline data collection and review processes.
A drive to be best in class
The solution
Working together, we developed a targeted suite of communications with a clear content architecture to meet the needs of GM’s wide range of audiences. Alongside robust global, regional and topic-focused reports, we developed an impactful sustainability microsite to provide time-poor audiences with a digestible, story-led summary of GM’s progress.
