  • We are looking for a senior account director specialising in sustainability reporting and strategy.

    The ideal candidate will have experience in:

    • work as an account director/consultant in a corporate reporting and communications agency, specialising in sustainability issues
    • global sustainability reporting frameworks, initiatives and standards, eg TCFD, SASB, GRI, UNGPRF, IFRS S1 and S2, ESRS and ESG regulations
    • corporate financial, integrated and ESG reporting trends and best practices
    • client expansion and new business development, meeting and exceeding revenue targets and managing project costs in accordance with a budget.

    Education in a related area such as environmental management or corporate responsibility is a benefit. Experience with Workiva would be a benefit.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Lead large, complex reporting projects.
    • Create and maintain positive client relationships, ensuring clients understand our full range of services.
    • Lead on new business opportunities, including calls, proposals and pitches. Build relationships with prospects and follow up as required.
    • Attend networking events and conferences, converting new leads into clients.
    • Demonstrate efficient client and project oversight.
    • Provide ESG/sustainability expertise for clients.
    • Work with the marketing director to help raise Flag’s external profile and reputation. This may include representing Flag at conferences and events and developing thought-leadership pieces.

    All candidates should be able to demonstrate:

    • experience identifying, pursuing and converting new business opportunities, including leading presentations and pitches
    • adaptability and flexibility
    • strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
    • an ability to build strong and lasting relationships with clients and colleagues
    • creativity and innovation, generating new ideas and challenging the status quo
    • an ability to clearly explain product features and benefits
    • good time management, high standards and attention to detail.

    • ability to manage own time and workload
    • experience of reading both UK and US English preferred.
