Designing the Future of Reporting with Flag and Workiva

Designing the Future of Reporting. Toronto Climate Week. Sustainability Happy Hour. Flag. Workiva. With a guest speaker from Canadian Sustainability Standards Board

As sustainability reporting continues to evolve in response to global standards and stakeholder expectations, the need for credible and robust disclosures has never been greater. But that doesn’t mean reports have to lose their impact.

During Toronto Climate Week, Flag and Workiva teamed up to co-host Designing the Future of Reporting, an in-person happy-hour event that brought together sustainability professionals to discuss how technology and design can help balance impact with credibility in a rapidly changing reporting landscape.

We were excited to be joined by guest speaker John Cameron, Principal, Sustainability Standards at the Canadian Sustainability Standards Board (CSSB), who shared valuable insights into the future of sustainability disclosures in Canada and the global context surrounding the Canadian Sustainability Disclosure Standards (CSDS).

Attendees also got to see Flag’s designed reporting demo, showcasing how stylised, audit-ready sustainability reports can be created directly within the Workiva platform. The demo highlighted how reporting technology is transforming the way organisations manage data and communicate their sustainability story.

Here’s a sneak peek of the demo below.
